Eligibility Criteria

Introduction
Well, you will go through a very similar process of selection as a cadet goes for PMA. You will need to pass the four phases of the test.
- The intelligence and written test
- Physical test
- Interview
As you pass the initial intelligence and written test, you will go to the next phase which is the physical. Once you clear these two, you will have to appear in an interview if you are shortlisted.
If the Army selects you for Army Medical College, then, the GHQ will issue a letter of selection that will be sent to your mailing address.
Importantly, the army will pay you PKR 30,000 every month with an obligation to wear of official Khaki uniform. Further, you will be bound for 13 years of service in the initial agreement.
After you have completed your MBBS or BDS, you will be sent to PMA for six months of mandatory training. After the completion of your training at PMA, you will join Pakistan Army as a Captain.
Female cadets are now not allowed to apply as medical cadets after 2012. Pak Army stopped the lady cadets through a medical cadet course.
Eligibility Criteria For Medical Cadets

The Initial Test
This test is the written test for compulsory subjects of pre-medical. It also has a portion for personality tests and intelligence tests. These two tests are taken on the behalf of army’s hidden selection criteria that verify whether a cadet is capable of an army or not.

The Physical Test

The Procedure of Admission Through the NUMS Cadet Course
There is an entry test conducted by NUMS in all the major cities of Pakistan. The NUMS entry test is conducted twice a year by the National Testing Service (NTS) in which the qualifying candidates are sent their results via email or postal address. You can take this NUMS entry test based on the first year and second years. Submit the one in which you have scored the best.
Unlike medical cadet courses, both males and females can apply. You don’t need to pass any intelligence test nor do you have to go through any training after your MBBS or BDS. You can practice freely MBBS and if you want to serve in the army, you will have to go through the selection process separately.

Online Registration Process
All this is an online process. You will have to follow these steps to get yourself registered.
- Go to the official website of NUMS
- Search “Registration” and click on it for the NUMS entry test
- Fill in the form and select your test center among Rawalpindi, Lahore, Multan, Peshawar, Bahawalpur, Karachi, Dera Ismail Khan, and Gwadar.
- Click on the registration button
- Here, you will be able to generate the challan of PKR 3000 with your name on it. Download and print it and pay it in any HBL bank
- Send the printed form and paid voucher to “National Testing Service (NUMS Project) plot 96, Street 4, Sector H-*/1, Islamabad.
Test:
Reach your center on the day of the test at exactly that time. Do bring your original CNIC or B form with candidates’ pictures, a printed copy of the admit card or roll no slip, a clean clipboard, and stationary stuff.

Paying Cadet Admission Procedure
These seats are dedicated only to the children of the Armed forces (Retired/serving). These seats are for both boys and girls. These cadets have to pay their full fee and half will be refunded later.
On the selection, Paying Medical Cadets will wear the official Khaki uniform during 5 years of MBBS or 4 years of BDS, also. Then finally, they serve as Captain doctors under the Army bond of 3 years of service.

The Procedure of Admission for Foreign Applicants
Last but not least, if you are a dual nationality holder, you can still apply with the following conditions.
- You must have completed 12 years of education under the federal board
- Or you should have a British Council or British General Certification of Education (A-Levels)
- You should show Cambridge higher school certification (in case of being an overseas student)
- Foreign national high school
- Your candidate must qualify in Biology, Chemistry, and physics with cumulative marks of 60%
- If it is possible for you, you can apply for the NUMS test as well. If not possible, you can apply for SAT-II. your subjects must be Biology, Chemistry, and Physics with a minimum score of 550 each or you can pass the Foreign MCAT with an aggregation of 500 out of 528 scores or more.
